About Our Red Barn Ranch

Our Red Barn Ranch is a working farm and ranch on about 40 acres of rolling prairie, two miles south of Calhan, Colorado, at 11494 N Calhan Hwy. Alpacas, horses, ponies, goats, poultry and livestock guardian dogs are part of daily ranch life. Visitors can book ranch tours and hands-on sessions by appointment, with hours listed as Sunday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Party Bin is a 16-foot-diameter converted grain bin with electricity, lighting and a propane fire pit, located near the fiber studio and hands-on learning areas. It is a sheltered indoor space that holds up to 15 people, with room for food, beverage or craft tables, and it has outdoor seating nearby. The bin can be reserved for weddings, celebrations, workshops and retreats. Advance reservation is required, and the ranch works with each client on a custom package for the event. Overnight guests can stay in an on-site RV that sleeps up to six, available seasonally from May 1 through September 30. The ranch also offers three dry RV campsites.
