About Neu Chapel
Neu Chapel is a chapel on the University of Evansville campus in Evansville, Indiana. Built in 1964, the Indiana limestone and Vermont slate building features a high-arching wooden ceiling, neo-Gothic design, and a balcony with choir loft and Holtkamp organ. The sanctuary seats 450 comfortably. The chapel hosts wedding ceremonies, funerals, concerts, lectures, community forums, and campus ceremonies. It also houses the offices of the University Chaplain and University Organist, an interfaith prayer room, Grabill Lounge, and the John Wesley Gallery. As a United Methodist-related institution, Neu Chapel describes itself as an inclusive house of prayer and worship. Wedding reservations are handled through the Youth Programs and Special Events Coordinator.
