Mount Carmel Ministries is a lakeside campus on Lake Carlos, about 15 minutes north of Alexandria, Minnesota. The grounds include a beach, dock, trails, and wooded areas, along with pickleball, saunas, and fire features. The campus was established in 1938 and offers meeting spaces, dining, and overnight accommodation for groups and personal retreats. The Mount Carmel Chapel is newly built and has a main-level sanctuary with cushioned, movable seating for 300 people, plus overflow seating for 50. It has sound and projection systems, a grand piano, multiple lighting options, air conditioning, and an elevator to both levels. The lower level has meeting rooms for groups of 10 to 75, including a tiered classroom and a game room for up to 75 and the Elijah Room for up to 25. The Lodge has a lake-view conference room for 100 to 125, a dining room for 80 to 100 with a fireplace, and a lakeside room for up to 30. All of these have WiFi and sound, and the conference room has projection and AV equipment. The beachfront Lakeside Chapel has an upstairs room with knotty pine walls and an open ceiling, and it is used for picnics and family gatherings at the beach. Weddings are limited. The campus hosts a small number for friends and family of the Mount Carmel community and generally does not host outside weddings. Accommodation includes ten air-conditioned lodge rooms with private bathrooms, deluxe cabins with full or partial kitchens sleeping about 4 to 8, rustic seasonal cabins, and seasonal RV and tent sites. Meals are served family-style in the Lodge dining room. Mid-June through mid-August is reserved for the ministry's own summer programs, and outside groups generally cannot be hosted then.
