About Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is an American art museum in Blount Cultural Park in Montgomery, Alabama. Its permanent collection includes more than 4,000 works, mainly by American artists from the 18th through 21st centuries. The 43,000-square-foot building holds changing exhibition galleries and permanent collection galleries, the ArtWorks Interactive Gallery, the Wilson Auditorium, and the Hobbes Library. Outdoors, the John and Joyce Caddell Sculpture Garden provides a natural landscape for sculpture. The Museum describes the garden as a unique venue for special events, and it has garden furniture under a bosque canopy for picnicking. The Museum hosts private events in categories that include corporate events, performances, photoshoots, social events, and weddings and celebrations. New private events are scheduled from October 1, 2026, with at least 90 days' notice, and requests for events of more than 100 guests go to the events coordinator. Commercial, political, religious, and fundraising events are not permitted, and the Museum approves all collateral for events held on site.
