Mile Away Events occupies a historic property on five scenic acres near Milford, with a restored colonial home, an 1800s barn, gardens, a pond and a tented lawn. The venue offers outdoor garden ceremonies and receptions in indoor or tented spaces. The property also operates as a K–12 public charter school during school weeks and hosts events during summer and weekends. Wedding options include a seasonal garden ceremony for up to 100 guests, a year-round Swiss Room for up to 30, a year-round Flagship Lodge for up to 75, and a seasonal garden tent for up to 200. The tent is a 40-by-100-foot high-peak structure beside the gardens and pond. The Lodge has wood-beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace. The Swiss Room is an intimate indoor option. Additional spaces include flower gardens and lawn, a patio bar for up to 50, and an indoor bar available as an add-on to the Lodge or Swiss Room. Starting rental prices listed for weddings are $1,700 for Garden Vows, $1,900 for the Swiss Room, $3,600 for the Flagship Lodge, and $5,600 for the Garden Tent. Garden Vows and Garden Tent packages are offered May through October; the Swiss Room and Flagship Lodge are listed year-round. Optional onsite essentials include tables, chairs, dishware, serving pieces, linens and complimentary ice.
