About Mayernik Center at Avonworth Community Park

Set within Avonworth Community Park less than 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, the Mayernik Center offers a climate-controlled, rustic indoor and outdoor setting surrounded by trees and park landscaping. Its log cabin architecture, 18-foot cathedral ceilings and working stone fireplace define the main dining hall, with an adjoining bar area for serving food and appetizers. The venue accommodates up to 200 guests seated. Couples may hold ceremonies in the main dining hall, on the lawn behind the venue or at the adjacent Pavilion, and use the park grounds for photographs. A bridal suite has a full-length mirror, vanity, seating and a private restroom. Tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, water glasses for guest tables, an event coordinator and bartenders are provided; bartenders incur an additional charge. Renters must choose one of the park’s three contracted caterers. The renter supplies hard liquor, wine and champagne, while beer service uses the venue’s draft system. The Mayernik Center has its own restrooms and permits beer and wine.
