About Luther Memorial Church
Luther Memorial Church is an urban church wedding venue near the center of the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. Weddings are held in the nave, which accommodates up to 400 people. Couples may use two dressing rooms and the underground parking garage during the four-hour building access period. The church’s traditional Christian service includes planning with a presiding minister and music director; an organist, sound technician, wedding host, church-printed programs, and some flower stands and candelabras are included in the stated non-member wedding fee. The church provides wheelchair access to nearly all areas by elevator and hearing assistance in the nave. Couples complete an application and building use form, pay a deposit, and attend a required Saturday premarriage session. Weddings are normally scheduled Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.; the church does not schedule more than one wedding per day and excludes Holy Week and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
