About Iowa Arboretum & Gardens
Iowa Arboretum & Gardens is a 170-acre botanical garden with formal gardens, tree groves, prairie restoration, native woodland and trails. Wedding ceremonies can be held at the Jones Memorial Gazebo in the Conifer Garden, the Beckwith Grand Pavilion in the main gardens, Waterside Garden beside a pond, or indoors at the Hughes Education Center. Receptions are available in the Hughes Education Center or Beckwith Grand Pavilion; the Center is reserved as a weather backup. The Center has a large reception room, indoor guest tables and chairs, a catering kitchen, restrooms, a Comfort Room, wireless internet and accessible facilities. Wedding rentals include ceremony chair setup, access to wedding suites before the ceremony, and staff support. Outdoor receptions require couples to arrange their own tables, chairs and tents. Couples may choose a food caterer, subject to licensing and insurance requirements; alcohol service is provided through the venue’s exclusive liquor license holder.

- Wedding rental rates are listed for 2026 and 2027. In-season (April 1–October 31) ceremony and reception: $3,000 in 2026 and $3,250 in 2027; ceremony-only or reception-only: $1,800 and $1,900, respectively. Off-season (November 1–March 31) ceremony and reception: $2,400 in 2026 and $2,550 in 2027; ceremony-only or reception-only: $1,400 and $1,500. Treehouse micro-wedding for up to 50 people: $1,000; mini-micro wedding for up to 25 people: $500. A separate $500 nonrefundable reservation fee is applied to the balance; a $500 event deposit may be refundable subject to cleanup, removal of items, absence of damage and policy compliance. Additional-hour rates and optional extras apply.
