Wedding venue in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

About Historic Rock Ford

Historic Rock Ford is a private historic property on 33 acres of woodland and grounds in Lancaster, featuring the circa 1794 General Edward Hand Mansion and a rustic 18th-century barn. Wedding ceremonies can be held at several outdoor locations, including the Sycamore Tree, the mansion’s front, the piazza, the mansion’s rear, and the meadow. Receptions may be held in the tent and barn; the barn has heating and air conditioning, dimmable lighting, and a period-style bar. The barn rental includes use of a 40-by-60-foot tent, reception tables and chairs, and a separate catering area. Couples may bring their own vendors and choose their caterer and RAMP-certified bartender. Rental access runs from Friday at 10 a.m. through Sunday at noon, with seven hours for the event and a Friday evening rehearsal on the grounds. The property offers a climate-controlled bridal cottage and a third-floor mansion suite with salon chairs, makeup vanities, a kitchenette, and restroom. Mansion and gallery tours are also available as part of the wedding offering.
