Highland Hills
About Highland Hills
Highland Hills is a wedding and event venue in Newark, Ohio, with two distinct barns. The Historic Barn is an 1800s restored double-decker barn with 2,400 square feet, a covered patio, string-light terrace, chandelier and exposed beams. It accommodates 100 guests on one level or 170 using both levels; it is not climate-controlled but has ceiling fans and heaters. Across the street, the Highland Barn is described as a 3,167-square-foot space on four acres for up to 150 guests, with heating, air conditioning, two indoor restrooms and a walk-up bar; its current availability needs confirmation because a wedding offer retains an under-construction notice. Jon and Polly Patton purchased the property in 2021. Wedding packages start at $4,500 and include tables, chairs and a rehearsal. The venue also offers vow renewals, private parties, corporate events and photography rentals. Insured outside vendors are allowed, and alcohol can be served with the venue's required bartender. A day-of coordinator add-on and event insurance are available. Nearby accommodations include DoubleTree by Hilton Newark and Mount Vernon Grand Hotel.
