About Grand Isle Lake House
Grand Isle Lake House is a preserved turn-of-the-century hotel property on Lake Champlain, with nearly half a mile of shoreline protected during its preservation. It is used for retreats and training, with a special emphasis on nonprofit groups, as well as family gatherings and weddings. The main building was built as the Island Villa Hotel in 1903, and the Sisters of Mercy later operated a girls’ summer camp on the property.
