About Florida Historic Capitol Museum

The Florida Historic Capitol Museum occupies the Historic Capitol at 400 South Monroe Street in Tallahassee, at the center of the Florida Capitol complex. The building has been restored to its 1902 appearance and holds exhibits on Florida's political history across its floors, including restored Governor's office, House, Senate and Supreme Court spaces. The restored 1902 Senate Chamber, with 32 permanent desks, can be booked for private events. Weekday business-hours meetings and breakfast or lunch gatherings are held in the Senate Chamber, while evening and Saturday receptions can use the Senate Chamber alone or together with the adjacent Upper Rotunda on weekdays.
