The East Texas Oil Museum is located on the Kilgore College campus at 1301 S. Henderson Blvd. in Kilgore, Texas. It tells the story of the 1930s East Texas oil boom through period artifacts, oral histories, primary-source documents, dioramas, and a full-scale recreated oil town called Boomtown, USA. The museum is offered for private rentals for meetings, receptions and small events. A conference room serves meetings and smaller gatherings, and the entire museum can be reserved for larger events and special occasions, set among exhibits on the history of the region's oil boom. The museum will help with catering needs.
