The par-70 course, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, opened in 1990 and features bentgrass fairways and greens, 90 bunkers, elevation changes exceeding 100 feet, and water features including Shawnee Run Creek and ponds. The property also serves as a dedicated event destination, anchored by The Oakmont Event Center—a glass-walled space overlooking the golf course and formal gardens with ponds and waterfalls. The Oakmont accommodates up to 300 guests indoors (350 with patio seating) and is complemented by indoor rooms: The Hogan (seats 175, with an adjoining veranda), the Pinehurst Room (30–75, with fireplace), and the Augusta Room (up to 60). Outdoor ceremonies are held beneath a handcrafted Amish-built shelter or on the putting green. Full on-site catering is provided, and outside catering is permitted at The Oakmont. A bridal suite, 1,200-square-foot veranda, and easy-access parking are included. The venue also offers professional event staff and allows couples to bring their own wedding planner. Additional amenities include a driving range, practice putting green, the Mac's Sports Grill restaurant and bar, a golf shop, and stay-and-play golf packages.
