About Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens is a 150-acre botanical garden with cultivated collections and natural landscapes. Its setting includes the Rose Garden, Oak Woodland, Hilltop Gardens, Camellia Forest, and Japanese Garden, with views of the San Gabriel Mountains from the hilltop area. Wedding events can use indoor or outdoor spaces, and the Rose Garden is the most popular wedding location, followed by Boddy House. The five-acre Rose Garden includes a 3,500-square-foot open-air Craftsman-style pavilion. Flora Events is the exclusive on-site caterer, and dedicated event-planning staff assist with weddings. Wedding rentals include a ceremony-site rehearsal, bridal dressing room, photography admission beginning at 3 p.m., standard tables and chairs, and a dance floor. Event dates and times are limited by public hours and garden programming, and events must conclude by 10 p.m.
