About Deerfields Retreat
Deerfields Retreat is a 940-acre property in the Mills River community, about 30 minutes south of Asheville, adjoining Pisgah National Forest. Its wedding offering is a 51-hour weekend retreat with exclusive use of two historic cabins, an outdoor chapel, and a covered, 2,816-square-foot open-air pavilion, as well as two lakes and camping options. The chapel accommodates 200 or more guests and has shuttle access; couples may also choose another ceremony location on the property. The lakeside pavilion is set up for receptions with tables, chairs, buffet tables, and adjustable lighting. Couples may bring their own catering and alcohol. The retreat has no reception or rehearsal dinner curfew, and staff coordinate parking and direct campers to their designated area.
