Crown Point Ecology Center
About Crown Point Ecology Center
Crown Point Ecology Center is a working organic farm and ecology center on 115 acres in Akron, Ohio, offering a rustic wedding and event venue centered on a 1910 Century Barn. The barn features vintage Edison lighting, natural wood beams, and sliding doors that open onto prairie and woodland. Ceremonies can be held in the native prairie/meadow, a working field, the barn, or the garden. The barn accommodates up to 150 guests, expandable to 250 with a tent rental. Modern restrooms, a bonfire circle with seating and lighting, and scenic sunset views are on-site. The venue is a nonprofit; rental fees directly support the farm's CSA, refugee farming program, and summer camp scholarships. On-site farm animals (goats, pigs) add a unique element. No on-site lodging is available, but hotels and Airbnb rentals are nearby, and the venue is close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Weddings are priced at $3,000 for Sundays and $4,000 for Fridays and Saturdays (May–November), with booking open for 2027 and 2028. Private and corporate rentals for retreats, parties, and celebrations are also available.
