Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, about eight miles outside Ellijay in Talking Rock, Georgia. The tasting room is open seven days a week for tastings and for wine by the glass and by the bottle, with indoor and outdoor seating and live music on weekends. The property can be rented for private events: the rental covers all tasting rooms, a covered deck and an outdoor patio, with bar staffing included. A private gazebo set in the newest section of the vineyard, limited to adults and seating up to 16 guests, is available for engagements and parties. Overnight guests can book a fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bath villa on the vineyard grounds. Guided vineyard and winery tours run on weekends by reservation.
