Centre Furnace Mansion is a restored ironmaster’s residence and historic house museum on several acres at the southeast corner of Penn State’s campus. The landscaped grounds include period-inspired gardens, lawns, mature trees, and the historic furnace stack. Private events may use the indoor Hearth Room or the outdoor grounds for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Hearth Room seats approximately 25–30 for a meal or accommodates up to 40 standing; the grounds accommodate up to 100. The upper porch and patio can be used for gatherings or pre-reception appetizers. Facilities include a small modern kitchen and two wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and a docent tour may be scheduled. Renters arrange catering and event equipment. Parking is available off Porter Road.
