About Central Gardens of North Iowa

Central Gardens of North Iowa is a public garden spanning nearly three acres, with more than 20 themed gardens, winding paths, bridges, a stream, and architectural features including the Moon Gate and Theater Steps. Wedding ceremonies may be held at several garden locations, and the grounds offer lawn, terrace, and pavilion settings for receptions and other celebrations. The gardens remain open to the public during private events, so exclusive privacy is not guaranteed; outdoor rentals are seasonal and evening events conclude by sunset. Rentable spaces include the Nature Education Pavilion, with a wraparound deck, Victorian Terrace, heating and air conditioning, kitchenette facilities, restroom, projection monitor, and Wi-Fi; the Moon Gate and Ceremonial Lawn; the Activity Lawn with Council Ring and School Bell Gazebo; and the Naturalist and Reunion Terraces. The pavilion's upper level seats about 30, lower level accommodates 20, and terrace seats 30 or more. Ceremony and reception options range from intimate terrace gatherings to lawn layouts for hundreds. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with free street parking around the site and additional parking on adjacent streets.
