Burlington Weddings & Events
Wedding venue in Charles City, Virginia
About Burlington Weddings & Events
Burlington is a historic rural property in Charles City, between Richmond and Williamsburg. The main house dates to 1818 and sits amid farmland, with grounds that include a boxwood garden, a small vineyard, and historic outbuildings. The property offers indoor and outdoor event options, with the Stables used for receptions and indoor ceremonies and a separate outdoor ceremony space. The venue advertises events for 10 to 500 guests; the Stables accommodate up to 300 seated or 500 standing. The Stables include a catering kitchen, restrooms, a bar, a sunroom/buffet room, and a loft for additional seating. The Ice House is a cocktail-hour bar around an old ice cellar. For getting ready, the property has a bridal cottage and a groom’s den; the cottage sleeps up to seven and can be rented the night before an event. Outdoor ceremonies can move into the Stables in inclement weather.
