About Burges House
Burges House is a two-story historic residence in El Paso’s Sunset Heights Historic District. Built for Richard Fenner Burges, it features Adams architectural style in the Georgian Revival manner. Alterations and additions were made in 1927 under architect Otto H. Thorman, and the house is recognized as an El Paso Historic Landmark, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1993.
