About Bath Freight Shed
The Bath Freight Shed is a historic waterfront event venue in downtown Bath, on the Kennebec River. Built in 1892 by the Maine Central Railroad as a goods warehouse, the building later received roof, electrical, lighting and flooring improvements. Maine’s First Ship makes part of the shed and boatyard available for community rentals; the site history notes that the improved space has been used for public dinners and weddings.
