Aurora Ice Museum
Wedding venue in Fairbanks, Alaska

About Aurora Ice Museum
The Aurora Ice Museum is located on the grounds of Chena Hot Springs Resort. It was built from more than 1,000 tons of ice and snow harvested at the resort, completed in 2005, and is kept at about 25°F (-7°C) year-round. Highlights include illuminated ice sculptures, an ice bar, an ice chapel, and four ice hotel rooms, with ice carving demonstrations offered when available. Ice chapel weddings and vow renewals are booked as a separate reservation. Guided tours last about 45 minutes. After a brief introduction from the guide, visitors explore the museum at their own pace. Complimentary parkas are provided, and warm gloves and a hat are recommended. Guests meet at the Activities Center 15 minutes before tour time, tickets are required for entry, and outside food and drink are not permitted inside.
