Alton Farmstead is a working flower farm and historic barn wedding venue on the southwest edge of Columbus, with flower fields, hay fields, open pasture, black wooden fencing and a creek. Ceremony options include the Stable Barn, which seats up to 140, and the Barnyard, which accommodates up to 250; the Pasture is also listed as a ceremony option. Receptions can be held in the Barnyard or Long Barn, which seats up to 175. For larger receptions, a tent is recommended at 150–175 guests and required above 175; the farm accommodates up to 250 guests. A rain plan allows ceremonies to move to the Stable Barn for groups under 150, or to the Long Barn with guests seated at tables for larger groups. The venue includes a climate-controlled milk house dressing room with heat and air conditioning, garment steamer and emergency kit; an enclosed, air-conditioned area for bar, catering preparation and storage with a freezer and refrigerator; ample hay-field parking; tables, chairs and ceremony benches set up to the couple’s specifications; yard games and decor; and an on-site Venue Host for the event. July through September weddings include two farm-grown flower buckets, subject to availability. Couples may choose their own licensed and insured caterer or use food trucks. They supply their own alcohol; events with more than 50 guests require a fully insured bartender, and glass bottles, shots, alcohol sales and cash bars are prohibited. The farm is pet-friendly, and hotels are available nearby. Rental fees vary by season and day: May–August rates are $4,500 Friday, $5,800 Saturday and $3,800 Sunday; September–October rates are $5,500 Friday, $6,800 Saturday and $4,800 Sunday. A $500 refundable security/damage deposit and wedding insurance are required. An onsite ceremony is included in the rental fee.
