About 24 Shelby Wedding & Event Venue

24 Shelby is a historic event venue in downtown Indianapolis, housed in the only surviving pre-Prohibition brewery building in the city. Built in 1898 as the bottling house for the Home Brewing Company, the 6,000+ sq ft single-floor space has been fully renovated while preserving original brick walls, exposed wood-beam ceilings, and oversized windows. The venue offers four distinct spaces: the Edison Room (main event hall with 250 seated / 300+ standing capacity, elevated stage, three projectors, and Edison string lights), the Libations Lounge (1920s-inspired bar and cocktail area with an oversized bar), the Rosewood Room (private bridal suite with four-station beauty bar, wet bar, and mini fridge, accessible from 8 AM), and the Prohibition Patio (outdoor patio accommodating up to 25 guests, connected via garage doors). Ceremony and reception are held under one roof with no separate ceremony fee. The venue hosts weddings, corporate events, holiday parties, and special occasions. Amenities include all furniture, layout setup and breakdown, dedicated planning coordinator, food prep kitchen, high-speed WiFi, on-site parking, and full ADA accessibility. In-house bar service is required for events serving alcohol, with three per-person package tiers starting at $19. The venue is veteran-owned and woman-owned, now booking 2026 and 2027 events.
