About 1908 Grand Weddings & Events

1908 Grand is a restored historic event venue in downtown Gainesville, in a building originally built in 1908. Its event spaces include a downstairs room, an outdoor courtyard and an upstairs ballroom; weddings can use different areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, with an indoor ceremony option available if weather requires a change. The ballroom has a built-in backlit onyx bar, DJ booth and stage, while the courtyard can host outdoor ceremonies and other events. Bridal and groom suites, a catering prep kitchen, sound and lighting, furnishings, setup support and an on-site venue manager are among the documented amenities and services. Nearby downtown hotels, restaurants, bars and bed-and-breakfasts are described as being steps away.
